Solitaire Dungeon Delving/Creation: Session 1

Image
(I think this is from Holmes Basic) I got bored of waiting for a good opportunity to run a game for other people, so I decided to run a game for myself. It is completely off the cuff, using random tables I made along with a heavy dose of improvisation. I rolled up 4 player characters, gave them some background and personality, then dumped them into the completely improvised dungeon. This session was short, around an hour I believe, and I hope to continue the adventure soon. Hopefully by the end of this, I will have a dungeon map and key that can be shared so all of you folks can use it! Heck, when I conclude the journey maybe I will share how I did it, so y'all can try it out! Cast of characters Sylvia Simmons Grim, determined, woman of action Former follower of the Empire, acting as a body guard for inquisitors, before witnessing atrocities committed by the inquisition against suspected witches. In that moment, she felt that she could no longer support her gov...

Session Report For 9/9/18

And this report will be written in Bullet Point Form! Unknown (the nickname of my datemate's character) purchased 10 acres of land and a nice house with the money it got from dungeon delving. It got a letter in the mail from the church, explaining that bodies have been stolen in a graveyard from below, and they are in need of its services. Unknown travels to the church, and meets with Sister Agatha , a nun of the church who explains whats going on and shows Unknown one of the graves. Unknown descends into the tunnels below the cemetery, encountering some porcelain dolls, giant rats, and a mysterious table covered in food. (My datemate correctly guesses that the food is human flesh disguised by an illusion). Unknown continues on and meets Antonia , a ghoul obsessed with theology and dolls, who explains that her brethren have been stealing the bodies to eat. Unknown loots a noble's coffin. Unknown finds where the ghouls allegedly live, and goes back up to the surface, ...

Session Report 8/14/2018

I recently played a game of LOTFP with my datemate, Loki (E/Im/Is pronouns), using one of my 30 minute dungeons. E played the specialist of unknown name, accompanied by 2 dogs and a mule, also similarly nameless. The unknown specialist learned of a series of tunnels underneath the tower ruins in the woods, and, being penniless, decided to investigate. E descended into the dungeon, opening a secret passage marked by a red stone, and went into the darkness. E found the corpse of a large spider, but didn’t investigate, instead opening one of the nearby doors, revealing a nest of giant rats, along with a glimmer of gold. The specialist quickly shut the door, blocking it with a piece of fallen stone. However, after recalling the glint of gold, e carefully and quietly opened the door, before throwing a rock as a distraction. This gave the thief ample time to sneak into the nest to retrieve a golden scepter and a crown. However, when sneaking back out, e was noticed by one of the larg...
